Always a Cop

For those of you who are....you will find this very true. For those of you who aren't....this gives you a little insight as to why we are the way we are.

Always a Cop:
Once the badge goes on, it never comes off, whether they can see it, or not. It fuses to the soul through adversity, fear and adrenaline and no one who has ever worn it with pride, integrity and guts, can ever sleep through the 'call of the wild' that wafts through bedroom windows in the deep of the night.

When Cops Retire

When a good cop leaves the 'job' and retires to a better life, many are jealous, some are pleased and yet others, who may have already retired, wonder. We wonder if he knows what he is leaving behind, because we already know. We know, for example, that after a lifetime of camaraderie that few experience, it will remain as a longing for those past times. We know in the law enforcement life there is a fellowship which lasts long after the uniforms are hung up in the back of the closet . We know even if he throws them away, they will be on him with every step and breath that remains in his life. We also know how the very bearing of the man speaks of what he was and in his heart still is.

These are the burdens of the job. You will still look at people suspiciously, still see what others do not see or choose to ignore and always will look at the rest of the law enforcement world with a respect for what they do; only grown in a lifetime of knowing. Never think for one moment you are escaping from that life. You are only escaping the 'job' and merely being allowed to leave 'active' duty.

So what I wish for you is that whenever you ease into retirement, in your heart you never forget for one moment that 'Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called children of God,' and you are still a member of the greatest fraternity the world has ever known.

Civilian Friends vs . Police Friends

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Get upset if you're too busy to talk to them for a week.
POLICE FRIENDS: Are glad to see you after years, and will happily carry on the same conversation you were having the last time you met.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
POLICE FRIENDS: Have cried with you.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back.
POLICE FRIENDS: Keep your stuff so long they forget it's yours.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Know a few things about you..
POLICE FRIE NDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
POLICE FRIENDS: Will kick the crowds' ass that left you behind.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Are for a while.
POLICE FRIENDS: Are for life.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Have shared a few experiences. ..
POLICE FRIENDS: Have shared a lifetime of experiences no citizen could ever dream of...

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will take your drink away when they think you've had enough.
POLICE FRIENDS: Will look at you stumbling all over the place and say, 'You better drink the rest of that before you spill it!!' Then carry you home safely and put you to bed...

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will talk crap to the person who talks crap about you.
POLICE FRIENDS: Will knock them the hell out for using your name in vain.

CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will likely ignore this.
POLICE FRIENDS: Will forward this.

There are those that think they understand. And then,. . . . there are cops

Daddy ... it hurts. - This is a Must Read!

Subject: Daddy ... it hurts. - This is a Must Read!

Actually it can also be MOMMY, not always Daddy!!!!
I really think that our country needs to change the penalty to an automatic life sentence to anyone harming a child. Children are defenseless and rely on us to protect them and teach them right from wrong - and to show them the right kind of love.

GOD BLESS THE CHILDREN..IT IS OUR JOB TO WATCH OVER THEM..

This is A TRUE STORY AND IF YOU DON'T PASS THIS ON YOU DON'T HAVE A SOUL!!!

My name is Chris,
I am three,
My eyes are swollen..
I cannot see.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
What else could have made,
My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy,
Would still want to hug me.

I can't do a wrong,
I can't speak at all,
Or else I'm locked up,
All day long.

When I'm awake,
I'm all alone,
The house is dark,
My folks aren't home..

When my mommy does come home,
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll just get,
One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car,
My daddy is back,
From Charlie's bar

I hear him curse,
My name is called,
I press myself,
Against the wall.

I try to hide,
From his evil eyes,
I'm so afraid now,
I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping,
Calls me ugly words,
He says its my fault,
He suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me,
And yells at me more,
I finally get free,
And run to the door.

He's already locked it,
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me,
Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor,
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues,
With more bad words spoken.

'I'm sorry!', I scream,
But it's now much to late,
His face has been twisted,
Into a unimaginable shape.

The hurt and the pain,
Again and again,
O please God, have mercy!
O please let it end!

And he finally stops,
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless,
Sprawled on the floor.

My name is Chris,
I am three,
Tonight my daddy,
Murdered me.

IF YOU ARE AGAINST CHILD ABUSE!
Post this as 'Daddy ... it hurts'

At least 5 children each day from around the world die from child abuse!!!!

The BudWeiser Story

The Budweiser Story

(not a joke)

This is TRUE!

How Budweiser handled those who laughed at those

who died on the 11th of September,
2001...

Thought you might like to know what happened

in a little town north of Bakersfield , California

After you finish reading this,

please forward this story on to others

so that our nation and people around the world

will know about those who laughed

when they found out about the tragic events

in New York , Pennsylvania , and the Pentagon.

On September 11th,

A Budweiser employee was making a delivery

to a convenience store in a California town

named McFarland.

He knew of the tragedy that had occurred

in New York when he entered the business

to find the two Arabs, who owned the business, whooping and hollering to show their approval

and support of this treacherous attack.

The Budweiser employee went to his truck,

called his boss and told him

of the very upsetting event!

He didn't feel he could be in that store with those

horrible people. His boss asked him,

'Do you think you could go in there long enough

to pull every Budweiser product and item

our beverage company sells there?

We'll never deliver to them again.'

The employee walked in,

proceeded to pull every single product his

beverage company provided and left

with an incredible grin on his face.

He told them never to bother to call for

a delivery again.

Budweiser happens to be the beer of choice

for that community.

Just letting you know how Kern County

handled this situation. And Now

The Rest Of The Story:

It seems that the Bud driver and the Pepsi man

are neighbors. Bud called Pepsi and told him.

Pepsi called his boss who told him to

pull all Pepsi products as well!!!

That would include Frito Lay, etc.

Furthermore, word spread and

all vendors followed suit! At last report, on June 26, 2009,

Fareed Katib closed the store and filed bankruptcy!

Good old American

Passive-Aggressive A$$ Whoopin!

Pass this along, America needs to know

that we're all working together!

If you can read this.

Thank a teacher...

If you are reading it in English....

THANK A SOLDIER!!!

If you do not send this

you have no soul !!!!

God Bless America

We have a little less than one month and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America.

THE PROGRAM:

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this

eighth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at

home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do .

(1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people). Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

If you forward this email to least 11 people and each of those people do the same ... you get the idea.

Thank you for your participation. God Bless You and God Bless America

LILA DRUDGE SWEET POTATO BREAD

My friend is celebrating his 77th birthday today.
He arrived in 1931 as the first born to his parents.
The times were hard because the great depression was still here.
He thought I have so many things to be thankful for to my wonderful parents.
First and foremost the right to life and salvation.
To make ends meet his parents ran a home bakery. Those in the area who did not have the means to purchase, his parents shared with them.
He is deeply grateful to them for the good life they gave to him.
Here is a recipe she gave to each of her children.

Here it is:

LILA DRUDGE SWEET POTATO BREAD

INGREDIENTS:

Crisco vegetable shortening 5 lbs. bag flour[all purpose Pillsbury]

Sugar Fleismann’s [active dry] yeast

Salt

Utensils:

1 measuring cup 1 Large measuring cup Loaf pans—95/8 + 51/2 +23/4

5 lb. Bag of flour makes about 2 pans of rolls and 5 loaves of bread.

Step 1. slice 2 medium sized sweet potato’s and boil till done.

Step 2. Mash potato’s in large bowl

Step 3. Add one lb. Of Crisco to mashed potato’s and mix well.

Step 4. Add two small handfuls of salt to mixture.

Step 5 Add ¾ cup of sugar to mixture and continue to stir.

Step 6 Put 5 ¼ oz. Pkg. Of yeast in 5 cups ;of water. [1 cup of water to 1 pkg. Yeast] dilute yeast and add this to mixture.

Step 7 sift 5 lbs of four into mixture [enough to make mixture into a soft dough] and mix & punch and kneed it.

Step 8. sprinkle bread board with flour and dump dough on it and kneed it until it appears mixed good. [ It plops] as air is forced out.

Step 9. Sprinkle flour into mixing bowl [keeps dough from sticking] and place dough in it to rise. Cover it to keep it warm. No fans! Be careful not to let dough over-rise. 30—45 min. Punch the dough while in the bowl and it will spring back.

Step 10. When bread has risen, punch it down again, put it on bread board and kneed it some more.

Step 11. Now, loaf it off [ about the size of a one pound soft ball equals 1 loaf and set aside to rise [10 –15 min.

Step 12. Oil pans [Mazola, Crisco, etc.] Pound and kneed risen loaves into roll and place into loaf pans; let it rise till loaf pan is almost full, about ½ in. from the top of pan.

If you are making rolls and they touch each other rub a little oil on the edges that touch one another so they will break apart when they’re finished baking.

Next: into Oven. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. When loafs have risen enough, place them into oven to bake.

Bake about 30 min. or until golden brown. Round rolls, butterfly rolls loves.

Eat,enjoy and share.

MEANING OF FLAG DRAPED COFFIN

A friend sent an email to the Team. May I share with You.

Now you know God Bless America

MEANING OF FLAG DRAPED COFFIN

Please, Read, Remember ,

and pass this on to all that you know,
So many men and women have died for this flag,
it represents everything that we hold sacared.

-----
Subject: FW: MEANING OF FLAG DRAPED COFFIN

Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin

All Americans should be given this lesson. Those who think that America is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought. Our founding fathers used God's word and teachings to establish our Great Nation and I think it' high time Americans get re-educated about this Nation's history. Pass it along and be proud of the country we live in and even more proud of those who serve to protect our 'GOD GIVEN' rights and freedoms.

I hope you take the time to read this ... To understand what the flag draped coffin really means ... Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers.

Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776?

Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!

The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life.

The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life.

The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world.

The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance.

The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, 'Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.'

The 6th fold is for where people's hearts lie. It is with their heart that they pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America of their republic.

The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.

The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers.. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.

The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born.

The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.

The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding them of their nations motto, 'In God We Trust.'

After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today.

There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you'll see flags folded and now you will know why.

Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is referred to, the symbol of 'Liberty and Freedom.'

MAYBE THE SUPREME COURT SHOULD READ THIS EXPLANATION BEFORE THEY RENDER THEIR DECISION ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE..

FORWARD IT; MAYBE SOMEONE WITH THE NECESSARY POWER, OR POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL INFLUENCE, WILL GET IT TO THEM.

IN THE MEANTIME, MAY GOD PROTECT US ALWAYS.

ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

Pass TheButter,Please .

This is interesting . .

Margarine
wasoriginallymanufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW
the difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end; it gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fatsat
8 gramscompared to 5 grams.

Eating
margarine canincrease heart disease in women by 53%over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating
butterincreases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

Butter
has manynutritional benefits wheremargarine has afew only because they are added!

Butter
tastes much betterthan margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter
has been around forcenturies wheremargarine has been around for less than 100 years .

And now, for Margarine...

Very high in trans
fatty acids..

Triple risk of coronary
heart disease.
Increases total cholesterol andLDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol (the good cholesterol).

Increases the risk of cancers up to five-fold.

Lowers quality of
breast milk.

Decreases
immuneresponse.

Decreases
insulinresponse.

And here's the most disturbing fact; HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING
!

Margarine
is butONE MOLECULEaway from being PLASTIC.

This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has
no nutritional value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weenie microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Becauseit is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends (if you want to 'butter them up')!

Chinese Proverb:
'When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.'

So... DO IT!

Chinese Proverb:
'When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.'

So... DO IT!
